Holmes Miller strongly advocate the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), due to the significant benefits it can bring over the evolution, construction and lifetime of a building.

As early adopters we have developed robust systems and processes enshrined in our Practice policy and standard BIM Execution Plan in accordance with BS1192 and PAS 1192.

As a practice we have invested heavily in software and training, with all our technical staff highly proficient in the use of Autodesk REVIT. To maintain and monitor the quality of our BIM output and ongoing training needs of our staff, we have an in-house BIM Manager.  Our BIM Manager ensures that we remain at the forefront of this fast and evolving industry by using new technologies such as Dynamo, as well as overseeing the daily implementation of all aspects of our standard BIM Execution Plan which defines our in-house processes and protocols that we follow on all projects.

In addition to delivering all architectural drawing information and deliverables in confederated BIM models we also offer Clash Detection, Asset tagging, 4D / 5d Planning and COBie drops to assist our client’s needs over the lifetime of a project.

At Holmes Miller we have fully embraced BIM and the benefits it can bring to our clients and projects.  We currently work with a number of UK private and public bodies to knowledge share our experiences on the journey and to support local SME’s  to deliver greater collaboration throughout the industry.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss how working with Holmes Miller in a BIM environment can benefit you.
