MSIP Innovation Hub Recognised at Dundee Civic Trust Awards
The MSIP Innovation Hub at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc has received an award at the 2025 Dundee Civic Trust Awards, which celebrate significant contributions to the city’s built environment.
Organised by Dundee Civic Trust and Dundee Historic Environment Trust, the awards are presented every two years. From a longlist of thirteen projects, five were shortlisted and visited by the judging panel. Three buildings received awards, and one was commended.
The Innovation Hub, located on the site of the former Michelin tyre factory, was designed to support startups, researchers, and businesses working in sustainable mobility and decarbonisation. The judges noted the quality of design and daylighting, the innovative use of structural timber including bespoke acoustic panels, and the integration of renewable energy through on-site wind turbines and a district heating network. Accessibility and wayfinding were also commended.
The project is a joint venture between Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, Dundee City Council, and Scottish Enterprise, delivered by Robertson Construction Tayside.
