Holmes Miller – Glasgow | We’re Hiring
Holmes Miller is looking for technically focused architects, architectural technicians, a BIM Coordinator and Part 2 architectural assistants with demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 3–7 to join our established Glasgow team.
You will contribute to the delivery of complex civic projects across the education, sport and leisure, residential, justice and wider public sectors, helping to develop coordinated technical design and deliver buildings through construction.
This role offers the opportunity to work on significant projects that positively support communities across the UK, while developing your experience within a collaborative and design‑led studio environment.

Holmes Miller is an award‑winning architectural practice delivering education, sport and leisure, residential, justice and civic projects across the UK.
Our work ranges from new build schools through to leisure centres, community wellbeing hubs, residential developments and justice sector facilities. We are looking for individuals who enjoy developing technically robust design solutions and delivering high‑quality projects through construction.
Successful candidates will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, contributing to technical coordination, BIM delivery, detailed design development and project delivery.

Team members engage directly with clients, consultants and contractors, gaining valuable experience in project coordination, technical delivery, BIM management and construction‑stage problem solving. Who we are looking for
We are particularly interested in technically capable architects, technicians, BIM Coordinators and Part 2 assistants who are confident working within the technical and delivery stages of projects (RIBA Stages 3–7).
Candidates should demonstrate hands‑on involvement in the coordination and delivery of complex projects, ideally within the education, sport and leisure, residential, justice or wider public sectors.

Key skills and experience
The successful candidate will ideally:
Demonstrate strong technical design and detailing capability
Have experience contributing to projects through RIBA Stages 3–7
Be proficient in Autodesk Revit, with experience of BIM collaboration
For BIM Coordinator applicants: experience managing federated models, clash detection and BIM workflows
Have working knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and technical standards
Have experience using AutoCAD and NBS Chorus (desirable)
Possess strong communication and coordination skills when working with multidisciplinary teams
Have excellent organisation and time‑management skills
Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive studio environment
A full UK driving licence is essential
