Southbank Marina Development & Offices

The development compromised the construction of a 46-boat canal basin on the Forth & Clyde Canal:

Surrounding the new canal basin Holmes Miller provided over 3,000m2 of speculative three-storey office accommodation – including specialist accommodation for British Waterways, boatyard development for the Seagull Trust and a 700m2 Pub/restaurant.

Holmes Miller’s remit was to design and develop the scheme from concept through to completion, involving detailed liaison with all stakeholders, the local authority, the Planning Department, and British Waterways.

As the Forth & Clyde Canal is a National Monument we are also in close discussion with Historic Scotland on the proposed works to the canal itself.
