Parc-Y-Scarlets, Llanelli

Holmes Miller was commissioned by Llanelli Scarlets Rugby Club to design a new £20 million 15,000 capacity modern rugby stadium and an indoor training space in the form of a sports barn. This development was a joint venture between Carmarthenshire County Council and the Llanelli Scarlets and forms the centrepiece of a wider regeneration strategy for the area.

Following the appointments of Andrew Scott Limited as Main Contractors, we were novated over as Architects for the construction of the project.

The new Parc-Y-Scarlets Stadium and Sports Barn commenced on site in September 2007, with the first steel being erected in February 2008 and it was completed by November 2008, ahead of programme.

The stadium provides 3 floors of facilities and hospitality in the main south stand, with the 3 remaining smaller stands forming the ‘horseshoe’ shape and each containing one floor of spectator facilities.
