Holmes Miller is implementing the masterplan for the Oatlands Regeneration project on the south bank of the River Clyde, opposite Glasgow Green.
The master plan regenerates the area with a substantial amount of new housing, for both social landlords and for private sale. The elevation styles of the housing are tenure-blind in order that the community appearance, which is controlled through the masterplan guidelines, is unified.
There is a limited palette of materiality for elevational treatment, boundary definition and street furniture, which further strengthens and enhances a sense local identity.
The accommodation is a range of housing types from 6 storey flats overlooking the river Clyde, 4 storey tenement flats, 3 storey townhouses and 2 storey detached and terraced family houses.
The buildings are served with a network of new roads, squares and landscaped open spaces. In addition, a major landscape upgrade is planned to the existing Richmond Park which forms part of the masterplan.
